Built in 1881 by William Robertson and brothers James and William Greenless, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery on Islay and means 'mouth of the river' in Gaelic. In 2003, Bunnahabhain was bought by Burn Stewart distillers and has been operated by them since. They also own Tobermory and Deanston distilleries.
Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old
46.3% abv
Vol- 70cl
This is the new version of Bunnahabhain 12, at a higher proof and non-chill filtered. This helps bring out much more texture and flavour – nutty, toffee, molasses, fudge, and delicate fruit notes, with a hint of brine and smoke. A very comforting whisky, conjures up images of a cabin by the sea, stormy nights and bearded fishermen.
