Anthony Wills built Kilchoman distillery in 2005 and in doing so brought farm distilling back to Islay. In May 2019, Kilchoman doubled production with the construction of a new stillhouse adding two more stills, along with a new mash tun and six new washbacks. That has taken production capacity close to half a million litres of alcohol a year, and will enable experimental runs using different yeast and barley varieties.

PX Sherry Cask Matured limited edition has been matured for a minimum of five years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks previously used by Bodega José y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain.
The citrus sweetness and peat smoke of the spirit balance beautifully with the PX character to create a multi-dimensional whisky, rich and sweet with hints of light citrus sweetness and waves of maritime peat smoke.
Nose: Sweet sultanas and raisins with rounded peat smoke and layers of liquorice and hints of citrus sweetness.
Palate: Brown sugar and malty sweetness then orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate and waves of sherry sweetness
