Located in Grenada, Renegade Rum is a stateof-the-art distillery focused on the notion of terroir. Drawing on his extended distilling experience in Scotland and Ireland, Mark Reynier is presenting us with an innovative range of natural pure cane juice spirits defined by Grenada’s geology; farm by farm, field by field.
Renegade Dunfermline Pot Still
Part of the terroir expressions of unaged ‘pre-cask’ rum from Mark Reynier’s Renegade Distillery. This was made using free run sugar cane juice with the crop sourced from the Dunfermline estate which once had its own distillery. Unfortunately it was destroyed by hurricane Ivan in 2004! This spirit has been distilled in column stills and has been bottled at 50%.
Nose – This column still rum has a clean, light sweet aroma with tropical soft tones evocative of banana and pineapple.
Palate – This rum is sweet with a smooth velvety essence; has gentle hints of orange and soft marmalade, with medium finishing notes of candied sugar and buttery vanilla.
