Akashi-Tai Brewery Siraume Umeshu Plum Infused Sake 50cl
Umeshu is a traditional, sweet plum infused alcoholic drink often made in Japanese homes. This Akashi- Tai Shiraume Umeshu is made with Ginjo Grade Sake (milled to at least 60% ) to gently extrace the fruit essence. The plums are removed after 6 months and then the Shiraume is left to age for 2 years. The nose displays lovely dry fruits and a distinct almond/marzipan character. The palate is much more fruit orientated: rich prune and dates with almond hints, with a refreshing, dry finish. Perfect pairing with cheeses, cooked fruits or on its own.
