Lochlea use barley from their own farm, distill, mature and bottle everything on-site at their farm distillery is Ayrshire. The distillery's current capacity is 200,000 LPA per year. Uisng a semi-lauter mash tun, 6 Douglas Fir wooden washbacks, 2 bespoke Forsyths stills, racked warehousing. Long fermentation time, High and narrow cut points, ensuring a distinctive new make spirit with body and bursting with fruit. The farm was home to Robert Burns between 1777 when he was 18 and 1784.

Nose: Sweet apple notes, earthy, fresh cut grass and lightly floral notes. Fresh cut green apples, buttery caramel, fresh frassy flavours and oaky spice.
Taste: Apple cake rich and buttery, with cream and fruit freshness in the palate.
Finish: Sweet oak, caramel and light cereal to finish.
Orchard and Oak is matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon (Maker’s Mark), American Virgin Oak, and, for the first time for Lochlea, Calvados casks.
