Lochlea use barley from their own farm, distill, mature and bottle everything on-site at their farm distillery is Ayrshire. The distillery's current capacity is 200,000 LPA per year. Uisng a semi-lauter mash tun, 6 Douglas Fir wooden washbacks, 2 bespoke Forsyths stills, racked warehousing. Long fermentation time, High and narrow cut points, ensuring a distinctive new make spirit with body and bursting with fruit. The farm was home to Robert Burns between 1777 when he was 18 and 1784.

Matured in 100% 1st-fill Bourbon Barrels, it is a year older than the 2nd Crop, has more weight in the spirit and was distilled at the coldest time of year so there are lovely fresh crisp notes in comparison to spirit produced in the warmer months. The whisky shows honey-roasted almonds, apple blossom and piney, grassy flavours. The signature Lochlea fruit and cereal notes, with a fresh twist for Spring!.
Nose: Signature sweet red apple and pear
Palate: Vanilla pods and almond oil
Finish: Medium length with a crisp, refreshing pine forest note
